Speak Up For Justice
Should You, Could You, Will You?
We all experience injustices, but do you speak up? Should you, could you, will you? Where is the handbook, anyway? When you are staring eye to eye with your terror what do you do? When you have a daunting decision with heavy outcomes, how do you make the best choice? After your decision, how do you find your endurance and inspiration to see it through? How do they find their mental strength?
Jolene Jang will take you through how to assess your situation, change your perspective, find your motivation and how to understand your power.
You might remember the in the news starting in 2002 about the “upskirting stories”. This story headlined for months and kept popping up throughout the year as more states and countries became aware of these indecencies. The voyeur who video-taped underneath her dress without her knowledge was unanimously “not guilty” verdict by the Washington State Supreme Court because Jang.
Jang wrestled with injustice and prevailed. Her efforts ultimately resulted in the passage of Washington State Voyeurism Bill (ESHB 1001) in May 2003 and influencing laws around our nation and around the world.
Her story has inspired women everywhere and her media interviews have helped other people get their laws passed. With almost 7 billion people on this planet, will your voice make a difference?
